Beirut

Intro

We booked this trip two days before flying out. A friend had already lined everything up – driver, hotel, dinner spots so it was easy. Two nights ended up being the perfect amount.

Day 1: matbakhi & hotel albergo

Once we landed we dropped our bags and went straight to dinner. Lmatbakh, Chef Christina Saad’s place in Mar Mikhaël, serves Lebanese with a twist. We started at the chef’s table—it was fun, but the outdoor seating had a better vibe. More relaxed. The surprise standout dishes were the moghrabieh carbonara and the chicken liver. Both were genuinely great.

Our hotel Hotel Albergo in Achrafieh had its own personality. Each room is different—it felt more like staying in someone’s house than a hotel and it did feel like White Lotus at times. The rooftop had a nice energy at night and the whole place had a lot of charm. It was one of the reasons the trip was so good.

Day 2: Glow Paradise, Walking, AHM

Started the day at Glow Paradise in Achrafieh. Bright spot with the perfect healthy bowls and juices that hit the spot. The rest of the day was spent walking around, shopping a bit, checking out shops and small streets.

That night we went to AHM for the Desiree × Rampa event. It was packed, but not chaotic. Desiree’s set had more weight to it. Rampa was fine but didn’t leave a mark. Overall a solid night, well managed.

Day 3: Al Falamanki Raouche & Back

We wrapped things up with breakfast at Al Falamanki Raouche—classic lebanese food and lovely views. Few last-minute stops for snacks and gifts, then headed to the airport.

Short trip, but felt longer — in a good way. Would do it again.
